For the fourth year, Georgia Tech has retained its No. 1 ranking on the Princeton Review’s list of the Top 50 Best Value Colleges (Public Schools), which measures universities’ return on investment (ROI). The Institute earned the top spot with a ROI score of 95 out of 99, factoring in academic rating, financial aid offerings, and overall college costs.  

A goal of Tech’s strategic plan has been to lead in outcomes and value for all students. Adjusted for inflation, attending Georgia Tech this year is nearly $4,400 cheaper for Georgia residents than it was in 2019 — a 27% cost reduction. Additionally, as a result of record fundraising efforts, the Institute has expanded need-based scholarships.  
 
“A Georgia Tech education is one of the smartest investments a family can make. That’s not a marketing tagline. It’s math. And any media outlet that does the numbers reaches the same conclusion: Georgia Tech offers the best value among public universities in the nation,” Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera said during his Institute Address earlier in September.  
 
Tech also earned a No. 1 ranking for career placement. The median salary of a Tech graduate after 10 years in the workforce is $126,000 — outpacing the national average by 73%. 

The Princeton Review’s methodology also credited Tech with top 10 rankings in additional categories, including:  

• No. 1 - Best Value Colleges Without Aid  

• No. 2 - Best Schools for Internships 

• No. 5 - Best Alumni Network 

• No. 9 - Best Schools for Making an Impact (based on student survey responses to questions covering community service opportunities, student government, sustainability efforts, and on-campus student engagement) 

The Institute recently earned similar praise for its academic strength and strong ROI as the No. 5 public school (No. 27 overall) on Forbes’ 2027 list of America’s Best Colleges. It also received an A+ grade from Niche.com, another online platform providing rankings, reviews, and detailed data on U.S. schools, colleges, and neighborhoods.
